Part 5: Unexpected Encounter

Pairing: Theo x Reader

Summary: Y/N tries her best to avoid Theo after they encounter that night. However that proves to be difficult considering Theo won’t let you forget. There’s an attraction between the both of you, there’s no denying that. But you are set on the idea that what happened that night would never happen again, and this attraction towards Theo is dangerous. Can Theo convince you otherwise? Or will you be the one girl that Theo can’t have?

Side Note:To be truthfully honest I’m not too sure about the way
this turned out. I literally re-wrote Part 5 three times ahaha. I just
hope that you guys feel like this sets it up nicely…

“Then how come I can be the bad boy who falls in love with the good
girl?” that’s the only words that were running through your head as you
were sitting on your bed. And each and every time it seemed like the
words were getting louder and louder, your heart was racing and you felt
uneasy. Today was the first day back for senior year, and to be completely honest school was the last place you wanted to be. Unfortunately it was also the one thing that could provide some sort of distraction. So with that thought in mind you got up and started getting
ready. Walking out the door, you took out your phone and texted Lydia to
meet you a bit earlier at school. You needed to tell her what happened between Theo and you, she was one of your best friends and
she had every right to know. Getting in your car you speed off towards
Beacon Hills High School.

Parking in your usually spot you saw
Lydia standing near the entrance. Quickly getting your things and
getting out of your car, you jogged over to her greeting her with a hug.
“Okay so what’s wrong?”, Lydia asked. The fact that Lydia could instantly tell when something was wrong surprised you every time. You
couldn’t hide anything from her, so wanting to get this over and done
with you started to explain, “Theo and I got into an argument last night
and I kinda told him that I couldn’t fall in love with him”.

“Please tell me your joking?”

“I
wish I could Lydia. But it’s true I can’t fall in love with him okay,
it’s just all too complicated and things wouldn’t work.” You tried
sounding like you were 100% positive with your decision, however Lydia
could see right through you. “Y/N I love you and I want you to be
nothing but happy, but this isn’t what’s going to make you happy. Don’t
make this anymore difficult, tell Theo what you really feel”. Debating
with Lydia always proved pointless, because it a lot of ways she had a
point. Just then Stiles and Scott walked towards you girls, Stiles gave
Lydia a peck of the cheek which made you smile. Stiles finally got the
girl his always been in love with, and they were doing fine…more than
fine actually. So why were you denying yourself happiness? Why were you constantly denying how Theo actually made you feel? You got brought back
to reality when you heard Scott speak.

“Classes are about to start, we should head in”

Everyone agreed and all 4 of you walked into the school. Lydia waved to goodbye
saying she had to meet up with her mum before her class, while Scott and
Stiles said their goodbyes also reminding you of the pack meeting tonight, before heading off as well. That only left
you standing there all by yourself, you scanned the hallways and saw
people hugging, and smiling after not seeing their friends for a while.
You continued to scan the room and you saw Theo standing next to the
lockers talking to Tracy of all people. You weren’t sure if this was
his way of getting you to crack and to admit that you were wrong, but
all you knew was there was no chance in hell that Theo Raeken would win.
Sure you probably sounded silly and if Lydia knew about it, she’ll
probably agree. You wrestled with your mind every since that night, I
mean did Theo freely admit that he had or was falling in love with you?
If so, why did you have to be so stubborn and ruin it all?

While
your mind was at battle with itself you once again looked over at Theo
and Tracy, you didn’t need werewolf senses to know that Theo was
pushing your buttons, so you did the only thing that came to mind…you
saw Issac walking down the hallway and you yelled out his name and
grabbed his hand and kissed his cheek. “What was the for?” Issac asked,
“Nothing, I just missed you that’s all. You were in France a long time
and I’m just glad your back”, you said while smiling at him. Issac
didn’t protest to that, and told you he’ll catch up with all you later. The bell rang and you were off to Biology, you weren’t sure what
was going to happen but you knew even without looking over towards Theo
that he was pissed.

Heading towards the Biology room you saw a crowd of people next to the door, eventually after a few minutes the
crowd disappeared and on the door was a note saying that class was
cancelled this afternoon. Thanking the powers above you headed to the
library instead, if you couldn’t be in biology you might as well finish the long list of assignments that were handed to everyone to compete during the school break. Climbing up the stairs and sitting at
the table in the far corner you made yourself comfortable and began
work. Typically losing track of time, you glanced over at your phone and
saw that it was close to 5pm. Working in the library for 3 hours felt
like 20 minutes and you thought that it was best to head home and get
ready for the pack meeting at Scott’s. Just about as you were getting
up, a person sat down on the chair opposite you, you looked up and
mentally kicked yourself for not realizing sooner that Theo was going to
want to have a little chat about the hallway encounter involving Issac.

“Whatever you came here to say Theo, say it fast. I’ve got places to be” you said while packing your things in your schoolbag.

“I know what you’re doing Y/N”

“Then
please inform me, because I don’t know what you’re talking about” you
finally lifted your head to look at him. Taking a moment to study him,
he looked well. Even though it was a day or so since you last saw him,
he didn’t seem to be affected by what happened that night. And even if
he was Theo knew how to hide his emotions.

“Really babygirl, Issac Lahey?” he said almost as if he was jealous.

“Really Theo, Tracy Smith?” you said using the exact same tone as he did with you.

You
stood up and begun walking away from Theo, down the stairs and almost
out the exit when Theo run over to you blocking your way, “It’s cute how
jealous you are though”

“I’m not jealous Theo, I wasn’t the
one who started this conversation. If anyone was jealous I’d say it was
you. Now can you please move out of my way I have to get to Scott’s” you
asked with a fake smile on your face

“Whatever you wish babygirl” he said while moving out of your way

Not
even bothering to look back you kept your eyes forward, and headed home
as fast as you could to get ready before heading to the pack meeting.

You
arrived at Scott’s and noticed that Stiles and Lydia were already here,
knowing that Scott wouldn’t mind you let yourself in. Everyone was
gathered in the living room, Lydia was sitting next to Stiles who had
his arm around her, Scott was standing, Issac was
sitting on the opposite side of the coach next to Liam and Kira, and now
you took your seat on the other side of Issac. You had no idea why
everyone was being silent so you spoke “What are we waiting on?”, Lydia
glanced in your direction and gave you a I’m sorry smile. You were
beyond confused but your confusion turned into realization when Theo
walked through the door. Scott looked up and began talking, “Okay I’m
pretty sure we can all guess why we’re here, there’s another werewolf
roaming around and I for one want to find out what it’s doing here in
Beacon Hills”, Stiles spoke next “Are we even sure his a threat? I mean
he hasn’t killed anyone that we know of”. Theo interjected before Scott
had the chance to answer, “Ask yourself that question again Stilisnki
when your dad finds a body clawed to death”. Stiles glared ever so intensely at Theo, “Okay what is the point of him? Why is he even
here?”.

You had half a mind to speak out and say you agree
with Stiles, but decided heavily against it. “Because we need him to
help track this werewolf”, Scott stated. “Where do we start?” You were surprised at how strong your voice was considering Theo’s presences in
the room. “We spread out, stick together and check every place we know
that a werewolf could go hide in. Lydia and Kira you take the school,
Stiles and Liam will take the Animal Clinic, Issac you go with Y/N and
check the hospital and lastly Theo and I will check the woods”. You took
a mental note to thank Scott for not putting you with Theo, however the
stare that Theo was giving both you and Issac was definitely out of pure
jealously. Not wanting to be around Theo any longer you grabbed Issac’s
hand and headed out of the house towards your car. Scott mentioned
before everyone had left if you were in danger to call or run if you
could, he didn’t want anyone getting hurt.

Issac and you
arrived at the hospital, heading on inside you told Issac the best bet
would be the roof. Issac nodded and followed your lead. You were
climbing the stairs to the roof when Issac spoke “So what’s the deal
with you and the Theo guy?”, “It’s complicated” you simply said, “How
so?”. You stopped and turned to Issac, “Short version…Theo and I had
this one night a total mistake, he wouldn’t let it go, there were arguments, and now his angry because I said that I couldn’t fall in love
with him…satisfied Lahey?”, “Do you want me to kick his ass for you?”
Issac suggested. You laughed and shook your head before heading towards
the roof with Issac right behind you. Making it to the roof, you saw no
sign of a werewolf being here. However Issac wanted to see if he could
catch a sent before telling Scott you guys found nothing.

Doing
his werewolf sense thing you waited for Issac to give the all clear,
but without warning something fast attacked Issac, flinging him across
the roof. You rushed over to his side, checking for a pulse…thankfully
he still had one and you shook Issac begging him to wake up. Unfortunately Issac wasn’t waking up and the werewolf was heading straight
towards you, grabbing you by the throat he slammed your back on the
brick wall. You winched at the body to brick contact and looked around
you for a weapon, finding none you decided the next best thing was your
own body, mastering the will you kicked him where the sun don’t shine,
and he doubled over in pain as you ran towards Issac again…however he recovered fast and grabbed you throwing you against the brick wall, he
once again grabbed you by the throat before saying “Tell your alpha to
stop following me, all the next person I’m coming after will be a member
of his pack, got it?”. Nodding to show that you understood, he let you
go and jumped straight off the roof.

Trying to catch you breathe you run over to Issac and he was slowly coming too. He looked up
at you with an apologetic expression. “I’m fine Issac, it wasn’t your
fault” you reassured him, “You’re hurt and I didn’t protect you, it is my
fault”. You grabbed his face, forcing him to look at you, “Hey this
wasn’t your fault okay. Don’t feel guilty about this”. Looking into each others eyes a lot longer than what you should have, Issac started leaning
in and even though your heart was telling you that kissing Issac wasn’t
the best idea, your brain was telling you otherwise. But before lips
were connected, the roof door opened and in came Scott and Theo. Issac
and you pulled away as fast as humanly possible before looking up at
Scott. “What happened?” Scott asked with a concern look. “He came out of
nowhere, knocked Issac out cold and told me to tell you to stop following him”, you explained. Theo couldn’t keep his eyes off of you,
you looked at him and mouthed I’m okay knowing that he was worried and probably mad as hell. Scott grabbed your hand before asking “I think we
need to go see my mum, she’ll be able to stitch you up”. You nodded
having no energy to argue with Scott, you walked out the roof door and
headed down to see Melissa.

Sitting in a hospital room waiting
to get the all clear so you could go home, you thoughts wondered back
to the rooftop and to that almost kiss with Issac. What were you
thinking? Getting involved with Issac, while still don’t knowing what
you felt for Theo was a messy situation. Just when you were about to
debate with yourself some more, Issac walked through the door.

“Melissa told me what room you were in, how you feeling?” he asked

“I’m feeling much better. I’m alive and that’s what is important”.

“Did you want me to drive you home?” Before you responded a voice came from behind.

"Actually
she’s already got someone to take her home”. It was Theo, his arms were
crossed and he gave Issac a glare before walking over to you. Not
knowing what was happening you told Issac that you’ll call him tomorrow
to check in. With that Issac left the room, once again leaving only Theo
and you.

“I don’t need you to take me home, I can do it myself” You said while slowly getting up from the bed.

“Can you stop being stubborn for one minute and let me help you Y/N?”

And
there was that word…stubborn. Even Theo knew it and it took
everything not to break down in front of him. Not wanting to fight with
Theo, you allowed him to take you home.

Arriving at your house,
Theo helped you out, opened the front door before also much to your
protest heading upstairs with you to your bedroom.

“You didn’t have to walk me to my room, I would have been fine on my own”

“You got attacked babygirl, I’m not leaving” he said

You
quickly turned your head, which was a mistake because your neck still
hurt like crazy. Ignoring the pain you said, “You don’t need to
stay Theo”

“Tough because I am, there’s no way I’m leaving you alone. So deal with it”

“Theo
I don’t need you to stay, please just go…you had no trouble walking
out of here last time”. Cursing at the fact that what you said was probably all thanks to the medication that the hospital gave you for the
pain, you sighed.

“You practically told me that you couldn’t
love me. Don’t turn this around on me babygirl when your the one who
gave up on us. You were the one who didn’t even give us a chance”

You certainly didn’t expect those words to come out of his mouth, and you
were even more grateful that he didn’t mention the Issac moment, although just because he didn’t mention it now, doesn’t mean he would just let it go. He was
right though, that much you knew. But your stubborn nature wouldn’t
allow you to tell him that, so instead you said “I’m tried Theo, just go
please”

He looked at you with sad eyes before heading out
your bedroom door. Maybe it was the medication, maybe it was because you
were so tried, or maybe because your emotions were high but you just
sat on your bed before completely breaking down. You made Theo walk out
of this very bedroom twice, and this is what it felt like…this is what
it feels like to have your heart shattered into a million pieces.
